NXT is the top roster in the world as far as I'm concerned, the work ethic and fans.
The AEW roster has much bigger stars and better wrestlers frankly than the NXT roster.
When I left NXT, I was kind of mad that I was never NXT champ, so when I got to the main roster, that was my first goal.
The atmosphere we get with NXT and NXT fans, they're a die-hard group. They care deeply about NXT.
It is a man's world at the top, at the bottom, and in between. Men are in the catbird seat as far as income, opportunity, status, and power are concerned. This is the way it always has been and, as far as men are concerned, it is the way it always should be.
You can have a strong work ethic. Yes, that's going to take you far. But I think if you have a solid work ethic and a passion, that's different.
You might be sitting at NXT for six years. But, if you're sitting there at NXT for six years, and they haven't called you to the main roster, then you're not doing something right. That's just my opinion.
I look at myself in NXT, and then I look at how far I've come on the main roster. I just think in my mind if I keep working as hard as I do and keep giving it my all that I will continue to get better.
NXT prepares you for literally everything for the main roster. They probably over-prepare you.
I think I have done everything I can here in NXT, and I do want to test myself on the main roster.
We started the band with a work ethic of 'it's us against the world' and that is something that our fans aligned with, too. Together, we speak a common language. I think that motto has helped us keep the creative force alive all these years while the fans have kept the fire burning for us to always be excited to create new music for them. Without the fans, we are a band without a home.
If I'm studying in NXT and trying to make it to the main roster, I would be watching Randy Orton.
I guess, throughout my entire time in NXT, I didn't really have any false expectations of what it would be like to reach the main roster. I knew you'd have to work harder. I knew you'd have to bring it every single time.
Lars Sullivan and EC3 are made for the main roster, more so than NXT. Obviously, Lars because he's just freakish in so many ways. But EC3, I look at him, and I look at his mannerisms, his mic skills: he's tailor-made for a good push on the main roster.
My relationship with fans is based off the love of my work and my work ethic.
An ethic that emphasizes relationship and community can be concerned with protecting the individual's interests, but always with an eye to trying to reconcile those interests with those of others. An ethic emphasizing rights and autonomy should be concerned with promoting enough community to foster a motivating concern for everyone's rights, not just one's own.
When you have your roster set up different ways, you really just have to examine the roster, find out what their strengths and weakness are and hopefully you take your roster and the vision you want to implement of how you want to play and you can tweak your roster to create that.
