As long as you focus on getting better at one thing a day it accumulates.
I'm the kind of person who likes to focus on one thing at a time. I'll focus on my skiing and then when I get to the bottom of my run and the cameras are on me, I'll focus on what I need to say, and then I'll focus that night on recovering and getting ready for the next day.
I focus on myself and getting better every day.
Before making a great movement, stay motionless for a good while! If you give legs to the rocks, they will start running like crazy horses! Stillness accumulates liveliness; laziness accumulates industriousness; sleep accumulates motion!
How good the design is doesn't matter near as much as whether the design is getting better or worse. If it is getting better, day by day, I can live with it forever. If it is getting worse, I will die.
It's all about getting better and controlling the things that you can control, which is getting better day to day.
That concerns me. You're either getting better or you're getting worse. I don't think you stay the same in sports. If we want to achieve something special in the game, then these players have to recognize that they're responsible every day for getting better.
If you do one thing a day, make it a headstand. It's the king of all postures and has so many benefits. It helps me sleep better and focus.
Myself, I always tell people that if you're not getting better you're only getting worse, and every day I try and be better than yesterday.
No one is going to give it to you. Spend everyday getting better and focus on that which you can control, let everything else fall into place. You can't stay focused on what you can get from success, but rather focus on becoming successful!
The weight is just a tool. Do you focus on the hammer or the nail? You better focus on the thing you're trying to hit.
Pretty much the only goal I've had since the beginning, which I still have, is just to get better, work hard, focus, and everything else will just be a bonus. As long as I'm satisfied, and I think we're getting better with every song compared to the last, then I'm satisfied and that's all I want. If we don't achieve that, then I'll be disappointed.
I'm not a very fancy person. I've been a writer a long time, and right now 'The Hunger Games' is getting a lot of focus. It'll pass. The focus will be on something else. It'll shift. It always does. And that seems just fine.
You've got to focus on getting better at one thing at a time, every single drill, every single snap.
I think that drive to fight the fight day in and day out, I think that can go away. You can lose that. As long as you continue to be consumed and overwhelmed with the desire to get better and find another way and keep competing to figure out what you can do to help make this guy be better than he was a day ago, as long as that's there, I don't agree.
Always, I'm a competitor. Growing up, it's the same thing. I always wanted to compete and show how good I am. I did it in college to get the No. 1 pick, and now that I'm here, I'm going to keep getting better to prove I'm one of the best guards and players in the league. It's a long, slow grind, so I'm just taking my time every day.
You can always get better. The day you stop getting better is the day you shouldn't be living. Gotta constantly improve and continue to grow within yourself.
