It is very important to develop a relationship with Jesus. It is amazing to think that because He saw we were suffering and struggling with our flesh, He left heaven, where everything was so wonderful, and voluntarily took those sufferings upon Himself to open a way for us! We also have to suffer, but it's not so hard when we love.
If God suffers in the flesh when He is made man, should we not rejoice when we suffer, for we have God to share our sufferings? This shared suffering confers the kingdom on us. For he spoke truly who said, 'If we suffer with Him, then we shall also be glorified with Him' (Rom. 8:17).

Whenever we do this to one of our brothers, we do this to Jesus. Caring for our neighbor; for those who are poor, who suffer in body and in soul, for those who are in need. This is the touchstone.
