I don’t think God has a gender. I don’t think God hates gays or Democrats, and I don’t think you have to be Born Again to find your way to Heaven. I believe God expects us to care for one another, even those who are different. God wants us to be good stewards of this planet, and that means not wasting or violating its resources. I once heard somebody say that God had closed a door on an opportunity they had hoped for. I just think it's strange when people say, "There is no God." Because I feel so connected to people and things that I just can't deny that there's a God who wants us to tell good stories and be the best we can be and forgive and be forgiven, even if we're not the best we can be.
