I just don't want my offense to carry over to my defense. I want to help the team win and be a team player.
You want to play in every game, and you especially don't want to be in the penalty box for five minutes and give the other team a chance to get a power play, and you don't want to hurt anyone on the other team.
I just want to say that aside from Atlanta United, any national team gives you a little bit more free time. I don't want to get completely into the analysis. There are different responsibilities compared to clubs and national team.
Individually, I always want to give the most. I want to help the Brazilian National Team the best way possible, whether is with goals, assists or even a slide tackle, whatever. All that matters is to help the team.
It's annoying to be on the bench - it's truly annoying - but it's a test you have to overcome, and that's how you progress. It's difficult because all you want is to be able to help the team, and when you're on the bench, you can't.
I don't want [to work] people who agree with me. I want honest, spirited, hard-working, patriotic people who want to be part of a team, the American team.
When you're playing a good team, not too many point guards want to go one on one. When you're playing a not-so-good team, teams that are fighting to make the playoffs, guys are going to want to try and get their own. It's just a different read of each team.
I don’t know. But it’s my option. I don’t want to leave Chicago. I want to be successful here. I want to help this team, like I always say, be in the pennant race… I don’t want to leave, and I don’t think I will leave.
I just feel very grateful to be a part of that, to be a part of a winning team... I'm trying hard not to be used to it, but I am kind of. It is something where I've run out of people that I want to work with because I've worked with everybody I ever wanted to. I really have. I can't think of anyone I'd want to work with right now because I'd just want to work with the same people again.
I want a ring. That's all that drives me. I want to just get better, I want to have fun, I want to win a ring.
I never want to be satisfied. I never want to be like, 'OK, this is good enough.' I always want to get to the next level and help the team improve.
Football is a team game, and I just want to function as part of the team.
I want to play every day and help the team get to where we want to be.
I think that when people join clubs as simple as a sorority or a fraternity, a football team, a baseball team, it's just - you want to be in a group. You want to be around people, you want to be with people.
I didn't want to be like some other guys who jump on another team's bandwagon just to get a ring.
I don't want to be just a shooter. I want to help the team in other ways because I know I can do that.
