Someone must have slandered Josef K., for one morning, without having done anything truly wrong, he was arrested.

I don't think anyone has been slandered more than the Jews. I would say much more than the Muslims. They have been slandered much more than the Muslims because they are blamed and slandered for everything. No one blames the Muslims for anything.
We've been lucky. Even as a young, local-level band, we were able to rise out of the local scene without having any debt, without having signed the wrong deal with the wrong manager or the wrong booker or a small label.
To be slandered the way I get slandered is really uncalled for, but life goes on.
I like to indulge myself by sitting up late without having to do anything in the morning.
Not being appreciated for 40 years or something ... It feels like I was accused of something that I didn't do, which was breaking up the Beatles. That was like being somebody who is in prison without having done anything wrong.
The thought that I had been captured so soon, without having done anything for the revolution, made me feel ashamed. I thought: at least now, I must carry out my duty well under torture.
I don't think there's anything wrong with someone having to read a poem twice. Or even a book.
I don't see anything wrong in someone wanting to be famous or having sky-high ambitions.
There's no question that I've done wrong. I take full responsibility for having done wrong. I will regret for the rest of my life the pain and the harm that I've caused to others. But I did not break the law.
If somebody does something wrong to someone around me, I can be firm. But that's always to protect someone to whom wrong is being done to.
I could never understand how someone would embark on their life without having first confronted and clarified the truly fundamental questions.
Just because someone gets arrested doesn't mean what they are doing is wrong. Some laws are unfair and unjust.
We all do the wrong thing. And then we have to wake up the next morning and live with the fact that we have done things that are wrong.
I admire the actors that truly can impersonate someone - become someone, inhabit someone. It's amazing when you see it done.
I love Thanksgiving. I truly do. Every last thing about it is wonderful. I love getting together with family and friends. I love the meal. I love the football. I love the four-day weekend without having anything that particularly has to get done. And of course, I love the fundamental idea behind it-giving thanks for all the good people and good things in your life.
