I got racist abuse at Liverpool when I played for Watford. Then I played for Liverpool and didn't get it. If I had played for Everton against Liverpool then maybe the Liverpool fans would have racially abused me.
I said to myself & to my coleagues at Melwood that I'd probably never play for a better club with a better players than Liverpool ever again, Then I went to Real Madrid & in 2009 we met Liverpool in the CL first knock-out round. Liverpool beat us 5-0 on aggregate. I wasn't happy because my team had lost but I was happy with my promise. I did NOT play for a better club with a better players than LIVERPOOL
I could have sat on the bench for a third year but I moved to West Brom from Liverpool to play. I love Liverpool and I've played a lot of games in my career so if I wanted to have a comfy life, I could have stayed at Liverpool.
My first season at Liverpool had good moments but also bad ones. We played three tournaments and we played two finals, and that was good.
In England, there are big games but nothing like the Clasico. Manchester United versus Liverpool is a really great match, probably the best over there. But Barcelona-Madrid is different to any other game in the world.
Obviously, it was an amazing feeling to play for Liverpool for the first time. It was a little bit funny to be playing against Sunderland, but it is still an amazing feeling every time I put on the Liverpool shirt.
How can I think of leaving Liverpool after a night like this? I am really happy with the club. I will be having talks with the chairman and the manager shortly, but it is looking good. Liverpool fans are crazy, they were unbelievable, and I'd like to dedicate this victory to them.
The longer you stay in Madrid, the more you realise what this club means to people - not just in the city but also elsewhere in Spain and around the world. No matter where we played, we'd see our fans. No matter whether we played a Clasico or a small cup game, the Bernabeu would be full.
When I was 11, I was invited to be a ballboy at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea played Liverpool. I was a Liverpool fan, so I was gutted that they lost 2-0. Afterwards, I was introduced to the players - I found it terrifying.
I've played for Liverpool's first-team pretty much every week for 16 years.
I played Zidane throughout my career, and for many players you reach a point where you learn lessons on how to handle them. But from the first match I played against him to the last, Zidane would find different ways to beat me.
You play against an opponent so much the numbers got to match at some point! I played against the Raiders six years straight pretty much. I played against them more than any team I've ever played.
In terms of pressure, El Clasico is unique, but also a match against PSG is a stimulating and exciting clash.
The first game I played. We played against the Dallas Texans.
I'd be happy if I was part of a Liverpool side that kept winning titles, cups, and made history. I just want to win and carrying on winning for Liverpool.
I've always liked Liverpool. I'd play a lot of video games, and I'd be them, because they played in red, like Independiente, my first club, Arsenal, or Chelsea.
