I've put myself in this position where I haven't set myself up with a Plan B. I don't have a safety net; it's all in.
There's no real road map to L.A. Everyone's journey is different. You have to persevere and be willing to put everything in it. You have to stick it out. I don't really have a safety net, but what I do is put myself in the best possible position to succeed by working hard. Also, be careful who you let into your life.
I feel like I put pressure on myself to perform well and to play well and to do well. That's what I expect of myself. It's not always going to happen, but I can certainly sort of put myself in the position where I can get the best out of myself.
But if I played well and prepared myself properly, then all I had to do was control myself and put myself in a position to win.
I think the only expectation is that I put on myself to do everything right and to put myself in a position to perform as best that I can.
I've sort of accidentally put myself in this position where I opened up the story of my life, and of course people want to reciprocate and open up to me. I'm OK at it, I don't make people feel worse, but it's strange to find myself in this role, all of a sudden, that I never would have pursued.
Thanks to 'I'm Yours,' I'm probably set for a really long time. The pressure I put on myself, or what I hope my 'I Won't Give Up' does, is to make a difference in people's lives... With 'I'm Yours,' I got to go out and set my feet on different continents, and expose myself to different cultures and causes.
All I got to say is I've got to put myself mentally and physically in a position where I can play at a high level and help my team win and that's what I plan on doing.
I just plan on playing my best and continuing to put myself in a great position to win. I hope to win a 2nd bracelet and hopefully a WPT title.
It starts with myself. I have to believe in myself and set expectations for myself, set goals for myself, and continue to work for those goals every day.
SAFETY NET-ISM: The belief that there will always be a financial and emotional safety net to buffer life's hurts. Usually parents.
Most Americans get that there is a need for a safety net in our country, and we support that safety net.
As I walk'd by myself, I talk'd to myself, And myself replied to me; And the questions myself then put to myself, With their answers I give to thee.
I feel like, in the Czars, for example, I was afraid. I couldn't express myself. I didn't have a connection to myself. That's one of the huge reasons why it was such a difficult existence. I put a lot of that on myself. I couldn't access myself. I couldn't look at myself, because I was too ashamed.
We shouldn't turn the safety net into a hammock. It should actually be a safety net.
I try to master every facet of a character in order to build a safety net for myself, so I can go on to take more risks to create someone really distinct.
I always take the same perspective with each new adventure. I put myself in the position of being at the end of my life looking back. Then I ask myself if what I am doing is important to me.
