There are a lot of directors out there that don't like to deal with actors, I think. Many of them have said something like, in the future they will actually manipulate the actors on their computers. But don't believe all this.
I always want to do something I haven't done before and get to work with other actors, writers, or directors that I want to work with.
When I first started out, it was very, very difficult to even get in the room with directors or casting directors because they would see that I hadn't been to drama school and wouldn't want to see me. Actors tend to get in their own way, a lot. A lot of times you will do things that will screw up your audition process.
