A Quote by Glenn Hoddle

I run an academy in Spain for young footballers who are released by their clubs and who, in my opinion, deserve a second chance. It is a rewarding job for me, but one that also reveals many of the faults in the English game.
English footballers are honest - they will run for 90-odd minutes - but that is not always what you need. Sometimes you need to rein back a bit and try and control the game with your passing.
Many European guys go to the N.H.L. at a young age, even without knowing English. But they quickly adapt to new conditions, another game, a new country. They are also young, receptive, can move mountains.
When I came to Spain, I joined a tennis academy, and that was where I learnt the game.
In Spain, we have a pretty good league - for me, I think it's the second-best league in the world. They play tough there, they play aggressive. The big difference is that we play only one game a week in Spain, maybe two.
What are we going to do to make sure people get the skills they need if they are incarcerated so that when they are released to hit the ground running? And what are we all going to do to give people who've earned a second chance, a second chance?
This is a chance for me to listen and learn. There's no more important and rewarding part of my job.
It's my job to show to the manager that I deserve to play in the squad and I deserve that chance.
Everyone should give a second chance, but everyone is also entitled to their opinion.
Little details about young footballers catch your eye when you have been around a big club for a long time. At first, it can be minor things, like the way certain young players stand out from the group when the academy lads cross paths with the senior team on their way to training in the morning.
Obviously, everyone looks at whether we bring young footballers into the first team, that's one of the goals. But I wouldn't discard someone who is successful in life, that's big. The hall of fame in the academy should be a wide variety of stories.
If I went to Spain and lived there for five years, I'm not going to play for Spain. For me an English player should play for England, really.
There are a lot of football clubs that are fantastic football clubs but how they treat footballers is another story.
We are a great fit, and I'm excited about the chance to influence a new generation of young footballers alongside Warrior.
If English clubs are not giving you a chance then going abroad is always an option. That's what the Bundesliga is about.
A girl conceived in China has to run an eerie kind of gauntlet if she is to survive. many parents will use the ultrasound technique. and, if it reveals. a girl, they'll abort her. If it reveals the baby is a boy, they'll celebrate.
Sometimes you look at footballers and think they're selfish or they don't bring a good image to society. But sometimes people underestimate footballers and their capacity to have a strong opinion and sympathy for others.
