I go to the gym in the morning to warm up, and then I go to the mountain and train. Then I come home and go to the gym again to recover. But on travel days, you get pretty much no physical exertion.
I just try to eat things in moderation and find exercise that I enjoy, because I'm not a gym person. I cannot go to the gym and run on the treadmill and do weights for two hours. It's the most boring thing in the world for me, so I found martial arts.
For me, motivation is easy. I enjoy what I'm doing, and I'm lucky to play tennis. I enjoy the suffering. It's something quite natural for me to go on the court and suffer, and to go in the gym and to suffer, and to know the only way to get better is to work out - that's what I like.
But I didn't really enjoy my secondary education that much, probably because I am a very physical person and don't enjoy sitting at a desk all day. I just dragged myself through GCSE and A Levels, so it suited me very much to go on to drama school, which was very active.
I'm so busy and there's so much going on, that the gym or a workout can't be a last minute thought, like, 'I have nothing to do today I'm going to go to the gym.' Now it's, 'When am I going to find time to work out tomorrow?'
What fun that is, doing voices. I would do them every day if they wanted me to. It's so much fun to go to work and not shave and wear your tennis shoes and your gym clothes. As opposed to having to shave, shower, go to the gym, look good, get ready, go to makeup and hair, and all that stuff. I love doing voices. It's just so relaxing.
My whole thing is I try to balance it as much as possible. I love to enjoy food. I've always said that if I eat healthy during the week, then I give myself more leeway to have some fun on the weekends. And I stick to the gym. I try to go five to six days a week.
I'm a gym rat, I have to admit. I live in the gym, and now that I don't have to get beat up for a living, I can truly enjoy taking care of myself without worrying about breaking my leg or getting paralyzed.
I enjoy scenes in films, which do not have the pressure of the story so much... and it flows. I've tried to go in that direction.
You can either go to the gym because you want to lose weight, or you can go to the gym because you like how it makes you feel when you're running.
I can't concentrate in flats. I could go to the gym if I wore flats, I'd love to go to the gym, but I just can't get my head around the footwear.
When I go on a pitch, I just try to enjoy it as much as I can. The more you enjoy it, the better you play.
Some people get up in the morning, don't go to the gym, they go take a shower. Well, I go to the gym, and I get a shower too.
I'm a guy who comes home: I'll play outside, go to this gym, that gym, see all these guys.
I can't be bothered to go to the gym, though. I honestly just can't be bothered - it's the most boring thing on Earth. I have tried and every six months I go 'right, I'm going to the gym'. Then I do it for two weeks and get so bored by it.
I don't like to go to the gym very much if I can help it.
