I tend to take negative comments to heart.
You can't take anything online personally, especially if it is negative. You can have 10 positive comments, but the one negative comment will get to you. You can always find a stray negative comment on the Internet. It's like everybody loves to put negative comments on the Internet under the cloak of anonymity.
I avoid social media and articles with negative comments about myself, because the first few times that I got called 'fat' broke my heart; it absolutely destroyed me. It's awful when someone says something like that to you.
I guess it became easier for me to accept negative comments about my work, my profession - anything work-related because like I said I take them as positive criticisms.
I've had to learn not to read all the bad comments, or if you do, try and not take it into your soul, body, brain, and heart.
People will try to label you not good enough, too slow, too old, too many mistakes. You can't stop negative comments or prevent negative labels, but you can choose to not let them hold you back.
It's human nature that if you get 20 positive comments and one negative one, you're going to focus on the negative. We all do that. It can be something that drags you down. It's easy to get bogged down with it, but I try to concentrate on the good things.
I have no problem with trolls or negative comments.
I think the Bible is hugely patriarchal. There are so many sexist comments and homophobic comments and comments that are not in keeping with nurturing and loving the human spirit.
I am not an actor who enjoys negative comments on other heroes.
If I saw negative comments I tried to look past them.
