Damn it, there are so many idiots whose asses I have to kick! I'll have to start carrying a list just to keep track of 'em all!
You've got to be like a fan at your show, just wild out. I make eye contact. I get in the crowd and kick it with 'em, stage dive, mosh. I make 'em laugh. I go out there and turn up, have fun. There's no set list; I don't have rehearsals.
If you're surrounded by idiots, you're the unpopular one and the odd one out because idiots don't like smart asses.
There are so many artists, so many songs, so many producers, that it's hard to keep track of whose music is worthwhile.
They say the shoe can always fit, no matter whose foot it's on. These days feel like I'm squeezing in 'em. Who ever wore 'em before just wasn't thinking big enough, I'm about to leave 'em with 'em
I was in the midst of it all - saw war where war is worst - not on the battlefields, no - in the hospitals ... there I mixed with it: and now I say God damn the wars - allw ars: God damn every war: God damn 'em! God damn 'em!
Since there are so many idiots out there, you may actually start to think you're crazy. You are not. They are idiots.
I keep my enemies close/ I give 'em enough rope/ They put themselves in the air/ I just kick away the chair.
Sparky Anderson taught me this a long time ago: 'There's three ways you can treat a person. You can pat 'em on the butt, you can kick 'em in the butt, or you can leave 'em alone.'
Start her, now; give 'em the long and strong stroke, Tashtego. Start her, Tash, my boy-start her, all; but keep cool, keep cool-cucumbers is the word-easy, easy-only start her like grim death and grinning devils, and raise the buried dead perpendicular out of their graves, boys-that's all. Start her!
The bands and the roadies, love 'em and leave 'em. It's pleasure to try 'em, but trouble to keep 'em.
I really am opinionated, but not for long. I have found myself coming off of what I think of something because the guy I'm talking to makes better sense than I am. I have so many points of view, I can't keep track of 'em, because I talk to too many people... I'm not so opinionated that I won't budge.
I know that when it comes to your friends, especially in the music industry, we work so much and do so much that we don't even really keep track of our days, or keep track of our health, or keep track of our mental health. Sometimes we just go astray.
I turn on the machines and start to think about ideas and take it from there, it usually begins if it's a beat, a track creating a beat/beats and then the bass-line/lines, then comes the sounds--drones, atmospherics etc, then the edits of various sounds I created and keep going till I feel I have enough sounds ideas to start working and building a track. I have many banks of sounds that we hear that can be manipulated in the machines.
Give it to 'em!" Take 'em down!" First Aleran!" Kick their furry--" Assault formation!
I'm a big list maker. But if I cross off too many tasks and it's hard to see the remaining ones, I have to start a new list.
Just keep following your damn dreams, it just costs a lot of damn money. I'm broke, but I have a dream.
