There's lots of bands where somebody will write lyrics and somebody else will sing them. It works for a lot of people, but that feels weird to me. In every operation, there's a risk, and you don't know whether it's gonna... you know, obviously there's that 95% chance, whatever they say, they can never say 100% you're gonna be better. But the concern and the worry is the worst thing.
Mathematics is really an art, not a science. You could say science also is an art. So I would say the difference is something you can't really describe - you can only recognize. Writing lyrics is part spontaneous, intuitive and part really thought through and carefully analyzed as you write it. It's a mixture of two approaches, and I imagine writing anything is like that, really. Some of it just flows, and you just go with it.
