A Quote by Jacqueline Woodson

You can't have too many books featuring people of color, just like you can't have too many books featuring white people. — © Jacqueline Woodson
You can't have too many books featuring people of color, just like you can't have too many books featuring white people.
There weren't too many books featuring other cultures and countries when I was growing up as an immigrant kid here in the States.
I wasn't seeing black girls in the books I was assigned to read at my school. I was tired of only reading about white boys and dogs and wanted to collect books featuring black girls.
How can there be too many typefaces in the world? Are there too many songs, too many books, too many places to go?
There aren't too many people out there who can start one of my books and not finish it. I don't think too many writers can say that.
There are too many books I haven't read, too many places I haven't seen, too many memories I haven't kept long enough.
There are too many books I haven’t read, too many places I haven’t seen, too many memories I haven’t kept long enough.
I'm not really into comfort books. There are too many of those as it is. Just sort of narcotic books, like my grandmother used to read. They have value like Paxil has value, but there's plenty of them in the world already. There's a shortage of confronting, stimulating, exciting books.
I try not to recommend too many books, frankly, because I think there's a certain synchronicity that happens when people discover books.
Like many a better one before me, I have gone down under the force of numbers, under the books and books and books that keep coming out and coming out and coming out, shoals of them, spates of them, flash floods of them, too blame many books, and no sign of an end.
A basic cause of murmuring is that too many of us seem to expect that life will flow ever smoothly, featuring an unbroken chain of green lights with empty parking places just in front of our destinations!.
The bands I like, they don't sell too many records and the girls I like, they don't kiss too many boys. Books I read will never be bestsellers yeah but come on fellas at least we made our choice.
I think that sometimes we put undue pressure on stories featuring people of color, and I hope we get to a point where it's not such a rarity to see a person of color be the hero of a story, so that it can just be a story and not have to carry so much weight.
I don't like to be overexposed. Too many articles, too many tweets, too many posts, I just don't like that. But at the same time, we live in a culture where that's almost necessary. People want content and they want their stuff when they want it.
Too many cars, too many factories, too much detergent, too much pesticides, multiplying contrails, inadequate sewage treatment plants, too little water, too much carbon dioxide - all can be traced easily to too many people.
It has become harder and harder to find books on a monthly basis that I feel absolutely compelled to share, .. I will continue featuring books on the 'Oprah Winfrey Show' when I feel they merit my heartfelt recommendation.
we live in a world of excess: too many kinds of coffee, too many magazines, too many types of bread, too many digital recordings of Beethoven's Ninth, too many choices of rearview mirrors on the latest Renault. Sometimes you say to yourself: It's too much, it's all too much.
