I think it's getting proven I've got good mechanics; I make my free throws. I handle the ball, too. I can do a lot of things I didn't do in college.
There is not some secret formula, it comes down to completing passes, being efficient on first and second down and making plays when the ball is in your hands.
So being a senior player, being a goalkeeper, being a team member, I think saving the ball is my first main priority.
I need to focus on getting to the free-throw line and knocking them down in practice and getting them in the game.
It is a dichotomous time where the younger generation is perceived as free. But smoking pot is not being free. Taking drugs is not being free. I feel that being courteous and telling your dad, 'I'm going to have a drink' with your dad saying 'give me one too' is cool. That's being freer, happier and nicer. But having issues and saying that 'I am my own person, I am moving out Mom!' is not. Yes, if your mom tells you to move out then that's being free.
I think fashion is actually very good training for being in the tech world, because it's all about moving on to the next thing, looking for the next thing, not getting stuck in the past.
The market being in a trend is the main thing that eventually gets us in a trade. That is a pretty simple idea. Being consistent and making sure you do that all the time is probably more important than the particular characteristics you use to define the trend. Whatever method you use to enter trades, the most critical thing is that if there is a major trend, your approach should assure that you get in that trend.
I grew up dreaming about being an Olympic basketball player: Doug Collins getting smashed into the stanchion, making two free throws. Phil Ford and Mike O'Koren in 1976.
When you can recognize hot throws and blitzes, that's when they can slow down their blitz and they don't want to blitz you as much because you're getting the ball out.
And I would say that the main thing that I faced as a female in this industry was being underestimated. But being underestimated isn't always a bad thing. It's nice to get out there and blow people's minds when they think you're not gonna be any good.
I've worked on my game to the point where anything they've asked of me, I try to come through and do it for them, whether that's defending, making plays, being a decoy, or knocking down shots and being a scorer.
My whole thing was being wanted and being accepted by a ball club. That was the most important thing to me.
The study of acting consists in the main of getting out of one’s own way, and in learning to deal with uncertainty and being comfortable being uncomfortable.
I hope to make an impact not only on the field, in the community, in the locker room. But on the field, catching the ball, returns, running the ball, getting the tough gritty yards, being able to make those special plays and being a great teammate, that's what I hope to have.
We are diverse, big time. Sully is the main man, which makes sense as the lead man of the band. Tony and myself are quiet; I need to be begged to do these interviews. But it comes down to being a team, that is the main thing. Knowing, understanding and accepting our roles.
The main thing is not a matter of wanting to win; the main thing is being scared to lose.
