Milan are always a team to be respected. — © Javier Zanetti
Milan are always a team to be respected.
Milan is my favorite team. Every weekend I check the Serie A results to see how Milan fared. Milan has really great players, like Seedorf, Ibra, Pato and Thiago Silva. Then there is Nesta who is a great champion, it's enough just to look at his career.
I think of Milan every day, really. I was really happy at Milanello. I love the team, the staff, everybody who works there. I love the fans. I miss Milan badly, I miss Italy. I don't miss a single [Milan] game, and I don't understand those that say that Calcio is in difficulty. It's so competitive and complete.
AC Milan will always be a great team.
I am always grateful to my team-mates at Milan for what we achieved.
I've always said that wherever I have played, I've always respected that jersey, and I've always defended it as though I had been a supporter of the team all my life.
The team you belong to must come ahead of the team you lead: this is putting team results (e.g., organizational needs) ahead of individual agendas (e.g., the team or division you lead, your ego, your need for recognition, your career development, etc.) Confidentiality is respected downward more than it is respected upward. Organizational alignment is a direct result of this hierarchy (if it were the other way around, organizational alignment would be very difficult to achieve).
The England team must always be respected. They always fight to the end.
I am always in love with Milan. The relationship with the team, with the club, and with these fans is beautiful. It's weird for a Brazilian to have a relationship like that with an Italian club.
Milan is not just a team for me. It is part of my life.
Leonardo da Vinci was comfortable being illegitimate, gay, a misfit, a heretic. But he also respected other people. He didn't get into disputations. He was a genius but he had a certain humility. In his notebooks you see lists of people he wanted to grill about things like how the water diversions in Milan work; he was always interested in learning from other people.
I always wanted to play for AC Milan or Real Madrid. Real Madrid, of course, because when I was young, the players that played there were the top players. I was looking at Real Madrid as the best of the best. And AC Milan, they also had good players when I was young, so I looked at AC Milan the same way as Real Madrid.
I always hang up my own dresses. It is a good lesson in appreciation and in always remembering that you're part of a team, not outside of the team, but with the team and on the team.
If I had not accepted Milan, then I definitely wouldn't have been called to the national team.
I am gratified by Arsenal's interest, certainly, but my objective is to come back for Milan and do well at Milan.
AC Milan are my top priority and I will never cause any problems for this team.
I chose Milan for many reasons. It is a great club and the team is made of an historic group of players.
