Having a life is easy. Having a career is hard to come by.
It's hard to give tips to skiers if I don't know how they ski, but I think the most important thing in skiing is you have to be having fun. If you're having fun, then everything else will come easy to you.
Success comes in a lot of ways, but it doesn't come with money and it doesn't come with fame. It comes from having a meaning in your life, doing what you love and being passionate about what you do. That's having a life of success. When you have the ability to do what you love, love what you do and have the ability to impact people. That's having a life of success. That's what having a life of meaning is.
I hope that having my life and having an education will lengthen my career.
Bad habits are easy and discipline is hard-and “easy” is where people gravitate. A good work ethic requires a painstaking daily effort. I think the most important thing in skiing is you have to be having fun. If you're having fun, then everything else will come easy to you.
It's hard having kids. It's hard having a job. It's hard having a relationship - for anybody.
Don't confuse having a career with having a life.
There are a lot of things that come easy, but they're not necessarily worth it. Anything worth having, you work hard for. That's how I feel I am.
I don't want doctors and patients to be having to - having to literally ration care, take away that relationship by having the government come in and interfere.
My life has been a quest for knowledge and understanding, and I am nowhere near having achieved that. And it doesn't bother me in the least. I will die without having come up with the answers to many things in life.
My family endured a big crisis after my father's business went bankrupt and we went from having a comfortable life to having virtually nothing. I saw from that moment how fragile and precarious life can be and you have to work very hard not just to survive but also to accomplish something in life and fulfill your dreams.
Being driven helps; if you look at any athlete or entertainer, they're all going to come to times where, if it's handed to you and it's easy, then it's not worth having, and it hasn't been easy.
One aspect of my life and career that has helped me be successful is having mentors - having women show me the way. We have to support other women.
The best things in life aren't easy. My career kind of sums that up. From the start of it to the end of it, there were a lot of twists and turns, a lot of different adversities. Having overcome those, it makes you stronger.
