You go through different stages when you're working on the music in film. At least, I do. You have a temp score, so you have music from other people, usually from other movies, to give you a sense of what the mood is supposed to be, what the atmosphere is.
I definitely enjoy working within different contexts, with different collaborators, and in different locations. I need to keep feeding myself as an artist by working with different people. I see continuing with that. I've also enjoyed getting to explore different kinds of music and instruments in the last couple of years.
In English films, they concentrate more on background scores and the music will be the main highlight of movie. When it comes to our local language, we have comedy, emotion, hero buildups, etc., and the music for each will be different from the other.
I feel really lucky that, in my career, I've gotten a chance to explore a lot of different genres and kinds of films.
