I have a pretty open mind about supernatural stuff - I do believe that there's more to this world than what meets the eye.
Do I believe in the supernatural? Oh yes, certainly. I can't believe, I can't accept that you die and that's the end. Physically maybe it is a fact. But there's something about the mind that's more than that.
Design is more than meets the eye. Design is about communicating benefits. Design is not about designers. Design is not an ocean it's a fishbowl. Design is creating something you believe in.
I think that there is no supernatural dimension. The natural world is quite wonderful enough. The more we know about it, the much more wonderful it is than any supernatural proposition.
I have a very open mind. I believe that there's a spirit world. I believe that there's a lot of stuff out there that we don't know about, don't want to understand, and sometimes we don't want to understand it.
They talk about Amen Corner but there's so much more to it than what meets the eye on this golf course.
Anything is easy to the man who sees.... The open eye of the open mind--that has more to do with real detective work than all the deduction and induction and analysis ever devised.
We may not be proud of every song we've ever done - or been forced to do - but I believe we've done more than meets the eye.
Always, the eye sees more than the mind can comprehend, and we go through life self-blinded to much that lies before us. We want a simple world, but we live in a magnificently complex one, and rather than open ourselves to it, we perceive the world through filters that make it less daunting.
Personally, I don't believe in anything more supernatural than what you read about in the Bible, and I only believe that one day out of seven.
How much of what the biblical writers believed about the supernatural world do I believe? They weren't us. We are products of the Enlightenment; they were not. So let's stop denying that reality. Rather than sitting in judgment on them from our Enlightenment perches, we ought to have them sit in judgment on us when it comes to informing us about the supernatural world. After all, what they wrote was ultimately overseen by God.
There is more here than meets the eye.
There's more to a picture than meets the eye.
The glory of the garden lies in more than meets the eye.
There's always another story. There's more than meets the eye.
The secret of good architecture is having more than meets the eye.
People at large are becoming more aware that there is much more to reality and to themselves than what meets the eye.
