I've played as a lone striker and enjoyed it, especially if you have good supporting players around you. But a full season by myself? That would be hard.
My second year in Rome was very good. Back then, a striker was a striker. Strikers scored goals; they didn't defend. Today this is normal, but it wasn't at that time. If you wanted to play my style of football you couldn't have old players or famous players who were unwilling to do the job both ways: attacking and also defending.
Role-playing games are contests in which the players usually cooperate as a group to achieve a common goal rather than compete to eliminate one another from play.... Role games ... bring players together in a mutual effort.
The really great players, I think embrace playing unselfishly and embrace playing in a system that ultimately kind of lifts up their teammates or their role players and guys who are around them.
You need two or three players who can do that - play behind the striker, on the right wing, the left wing... striker, maybe. If we have those, it's good for the team.
When you're playing against a team that has two great central defenders, the best option is to play without a striker.
The thing about playing basketball in Houston was we had a great coach, great system, and we had guys that believed in me. Once you get that belief in you, it's easy to play basketball, so, we really never had so-called role players.
It's different to play midfielder and striker or No. 10, but I enjoy all the positions I can play.
I always enjoy playing against great players. You can learn from the best.
I'm so proud that women are playing a great role in these demonstrations, in this so-called revolution. Because our women showed that women play a great role in everyday life.
Playing as a striker is a nice role because I spent all my youth there so that's why I like it.
I just want to be playing! I love to play. But I think I can play in the three positions behind the striker.
That was always something I remember, playing in loads of different positions when I was younger, and learning about what it takes to play a right-wing role, or holding midfield, or as a striker. I had a lot of experiences in those different formations and positions.
I used to play as a striker in Holland. I grew up as a striker. That's the position I want to play.
I never really got taught to be a striker in the first place and then I never got taught how to be a lone striker.
I play football, not to only enjoy it - and I love the challenge of playing and competing with the best players - but I want to have the chance to win games.
