I love the creative outlet of designing, and I love make-up and products and feel like I find so many great products around the world that I want to recreate, so I want to do that or design.
We can't think in terms of designing products that we throw over the wall to customers, but instead, we need to design products that are upgradable and maintainable and that can be mined for materials and components that can be reused.
My passion has been to build an enduring company where people were motivated to make great products. Everything else was secondary. Sure, it was great to make a profit, because that was what allowed you to make great products. But the products, not the profits were the motivation.
We have so much Apple influence in what we do, because we love Apple. We don't want to use their products necessarily, but we want to think in design terms the way they do.
My own skin-care ritual is quite simple and straightforward; I don't like a lot of fuss, surprisingly. My products are designed to make you look and feel better. I think there are a lot of men out there who want and need the same products.
At the end of the day, customer choice is essential. And we don't make products that compete with Apple, nor make products that compete with Google. Our customers come in both iOS and Android flavors, and I hope our customers can still buy the products they want to purchase wherever they want to purchase them.
That is the great joy: to go to work with people that you love, whether they be people that you are in love with or people that you just love, and be creative and artistic and make things that you want to send out into the world and make people feel good.
I'd love to be a consultant and help design an offense. That's my true passion, and I want to find an outlet where I can do that.
People want to use products where they feel like the people who deliver those products are invested in making it better for them.
I do my best to use all-natural type of products. I find that Perricone has really nice face cream. I find they have good facial products. Whenever I have a pimple, their products clear them up and make my skin nice and clean. Also, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream.
I would just like to say this about all the married people working together on the set: it was just a joy. That is the great joy to go to work with people that you love, whether they be people that you are in love with or people that you just love and be creative and artistic and make things that you want to send out into the world and make people feel good. It was a great environment to work in for me.
Going back to the technical track of my life, note that I have been designing electronic products, both of the consumer and defense electronics variety, since Pluto was a pup. Many of these products broke new ground... creativity at work!

My work is all about how we consume. To me it's important to know where things come from. Generally, our products today are so cheap, you know there's something wrong. Things are not made in a good way. I want to make things that are. I want to make the story behind products visible.
