Someday you will look back on all the awful stuff that's happening to you, and fondly smile. Doesn't say much about the future, does it?
That you can look back fondly or even wistfully on pieces of your life and hound yourself with endless what-ifs, but nothing will change. The present will still be the present. The future will still unfold as it's meant to.
If you are curious as to what your future may hold, you can look into a mirror. What is reflecting back? Does a sparkle in your eyes indicate excitement about new adventures and opportunities? Does a smile on your lips portray an inner happiness and abundant goodwill towards others?
I truly hope the future will bring me something to feel nostalgic about, because there's really nothing much so far I can remember fondly.
