I have never wanted to claim I know what is best for Israel. — © Jill Soloway
I have never wanted to claim I know what is best for Israel.
They've (Israel) lost the battle for public opinion. They claim it's because American Jews know too little.. I claim it's because they know too much about the conflict, and young liberal Jews have difficulty defending the use of cluster bombs in Lebanon or supporting the Israeli settlements.
Which Israel should we recognize? The Israel of 1917; the Israel of 1936; the Israel of 1948; the Israel of 1956; or the Israel of 1967? Which borders and which Israel? Israel has to recognize first the Palestinian state and its borders and then we will know what we are talking about.
I don't claim to know Israel. I don't speak Hebrew; my contacts are pretty limited. But I didn't know Vietnam; I didn't know Nicaragua, El Salvador or Honduras. It doesn't mean you can't reach your conclusions.
In fact some Jews themselves even claim that there should be a statue to Adolf Hitler in Israel because he created the state of Israel...which is absolutely true, without Adolf Hitler Israel woud not exist
The Zionist movement gave political expression to our claim to the land of Israel. And in 1922, the League of Nations recognized the justice of this claim.
This is why, as a prime minister of Israel, I can promise you one more thing: Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand. But I know that Israel does not stand alone. I know that America stands with Israel.
I never claim my photographs reveal some definitive truth. I claim that this is what I saw and felt about the subject at the time the pictures were made. That's all that any photographer can claim. I do not know any great photographer who would presume otherwise.
I never claimed to be the best singer, I never claimed to be the best dancer, but I do claim to be the person that can put them together best.
What I believe is that the United States is going to be playing on a level playing field in dealing with Israel and the Palestinian people. I am 100 percent pro Israel in the sense of Israel's right to exist, I lived in Israel, I have family in Israel, Israel has the right to live not only in peace and security, but to know that their very existence will be protected by the United States government.
The claim that Israel seeks to annihilate the Palestinians is simply a lie. Israel seeks to stop rocket attacks and tunnel invasions, and as long as Hamas is dedicated to those actions, they can expect a forceful Israeli reaction.
Maybe it's a generational thing, but I never wanted to be the best black dancer in the world. I just wanted to be the best.
Maybe its a generational thing, but I never wanted to be the best black dancer in the world. I just wanted to be the best.
Yasser Arafat never wanted to make peace with Israel.
I don't claim to be the best boxer in the world. What I claim to do is give 100% when I get in that ring.
Israel has the best engineers in the world... I view Israel as a tremendous source of technologies
I want you and the people of Israel to know a few things that have not and will not change. The United States stands firmly with Israel, and we have a rock solid commitment to the security of Israel and to the security of its citizens.
