I don't care where I am in the rankings or anything like that - I just want a UFC belt.
There are guys that just entered the UFC and people already talk about fighting for the belt. Guys that have one fight there and say call a jiu-jitsu phenom. They haven't done anything in the UFC yet to deserve all that attention.
I don't really care who the UFC put in front of me, but ultimately, I want that belt off Tyron Woodley.
Before the bell you fellow your family's name. Carrying the belt doesn't change me as a person. But I want to represent myself well. Some people want to show off their belt - but I'm not into that nonsense. I am who I am with or without the belt.
I don't care that much about rankings, and that doesn't matter that much in the UFC, too.
I want to have my 11 or 12, 13, 14 belt picture. I want to be lying down just covered in them. I want a lot of them. I want my closets to be filled with UFC belts.
Mixed martial arts, UFC, or what have you, I don't think it has anything to do with rankings. It doesn't have to do with 'this guy beat this guy so he deserves a title shot.' It might be like that every once in a while, but this is entertainment and the two biggest names - the best story.
I don't necessarily know about the rankings. I always like to look at it as, it's the person with the belt, and it's everybody else.
Anyone in the UFC, that should be your goal, to get the UFC belt and to fight for that title.
Brock Lesnar, he did a pretty darn good job. He was a WWE star. He came to the UFC and won the UFC belt.
My wife and kids mean more than the belt or UFC or anything else to me.
I've been in martial arts for so many years, so to hold the belt of UFC and be on top of the biggest organization, it will be represented in this belt.
I don't believe in rankings. Sometimes the rankings surprise me. I don't think it's fair to judge a team on the basis of rankings.
Obviously UFC was one of those kind of dreams that we weren't sure if we were ever going to reach, so for us, the biggest belt was the Cage Contender belt.
My goal is to get the belt, the UFC belt.
I want to become undisputed UFC welterweight champion. I've been so close a couple of times, but I don't want to leave the sport always a bridesmaid and never a bride. I want to get that belt around my waist.
I made a good living in the UFC. This isn't a negative thing. I'll always love the UFC. I still do 'UFC Now,' and I love breaking down the fights, and I never miss anything, and if they need anything, they know who to call.
