Just give me a good role that allows me to hone my craft, and I am a pretty happy camper. — © Jimmy Smits
Just give me a good role that allows me to hone my craft, and I am a pretty happy camper.
Just give me a good role that allows me to hone my craft and I am a pretty happy camper.
People like me for who I am, I don't wanna change that, if anything I just wanna hone my craft and get better at it.
So when somebody asks me to make a decision about a situation, I don't offer a solution, I ask a question: What are our options? Give me the good, give me the bad, give me the pretty, give me the ugly, give me the impossible, give me the possible, give me the convenient, give me the inconvenient. Give me the options. All I want are options. And once I have all the options before me, then I comfortably and confidently make my decision.
I started making hip-hop music when I was 11, and pretty much since then I've just been honing that craft, the craft of arranging a song and producing a beat. It's a task-heavy role, but at this point I really enjoy it and it allows me to convey exactly what I'm trying to get across in a song.
Pretty That's what I am, I guess. I mean, people have been telling me that's what I am since I was two. Maybe younger. Pretty as a picture. (Who wants to be a cliché?) Pretty as an angel. (Can you see them?) Pretty as a butterfly. (But isn't that really just a glam bug?) Cliché, invisible, or insectlike, I grew up knowing I was pretty and believing everything good about me had to do with how I looked. The mirror was my best friend. Until it started telling me I wasn't really pretty enough.
I’m just a person who wants to be honest and do good, make people happy and give them the greatest sense of escapism through the talent God has given me. That’s where my heart is, that’s all I want to do. Just let me share and give, put a smile on people’s faces and make their hearts feel happy.
I'm playing basketball. It's my dream job. So I'm a pretty happy camper.
So for me, anything that has to do with animals, and I'm a happy camper.
It just makes me so happy that I can give someone a smile by just saying hello. That's pretty cool.
I don't care if you hate me or if you like me, as long as somebody gives me a character that is really a character to play. It's fun to be able to have a character and have a director that can direct you into a character. I'm just so happy that I got a good role. I don't care if it's bad or if it's good, and I don't care if it's drama or comedy. They are just so rare to come across.
I am married to a happy camper. He's a criminal lawyer who thinks people are inherently good and will befriend him. His father, at 93, is the same way.
When I got a call from Hansal Mehta, the CEO of White Feathers, asking me to come for one of their films, I was very happy. I thought they'd have an interesting role for me. But when I got to know they just wanted me to stand in for Sanjay Dutt for some scenes, I decided to give this offer the pass.
I'm a pretty happy camper. Look a little more like Paul Newman, maybe. Haha.
It's not that I don't want to do commercial films, but if my part is just to look pretty, I'm not up for it. I'd do a role that expresses something. It's not that I don't want to look good, but give me a part where I have scope to perform.
I've always been one to do the work and just hone my craft.
I know China are very good in table tennis. Let me see what happens in tennis. I am pretty happy with the way I am playing.
