You have to stay focused out there and you can't get caught up in your emotions. — © Joanne Calderwood
You have to stay focused out there and you can't get caught up in your emotions.
I try not to get caught up in how our society is so inundated with images, and stay very focused on the work that I'm doing.
The challenge is not to get caught up in the hoopla. To understand what goes into winning - stay focused, you've got to be prepared, you need an edge. If you get lost in all the other stuff you're not going to be prepared to play well.
You have to stay focused because a lot of things will break your confidence. But if you stay focused and want it bad enough you can achieve. I know that sounds like a PBS special, but it's true, straight up.
Each of us has something to do in this lifetime. We all have negative emotions to be purified and positive emotions to be cultivated. All of us need to reconnect to our source and drop our personal stories, don't we? Men, women, old, young, from here, from there - it is the same. All you can do is your practice. There is nothing else. Don't get caught up. Don't stop. We have to learn how to get out or our own way. Because ultimately, the only thing standing in our way is ourselves.
If you can't stay focused enough to focus on what people out there actually care about, their own lives, their healthcare, their education for their children, businesses that they can build, if you can stay focused enough to put that in your speech, you can't be president.
For me I tried to not keep a low profile but I was training in a different country as I prepared for Sydney because I had such a realistic gold medal shot. I just wanted to stay focused and not get caught up in all of the hullabaloo and all of press prior to it.
Stay out of the gentlemen's clubs. Get a lot of rest. Just have fun and relax and stay focused.
Don't get involved in the interoffice politics. On 'Suits,' it can be cheeky and fun to see Rachel and Donna being gossipy, but people get caught up in that. I think in life and in the office, it's best to stay out of the drama.
The best way to stay cool is to stay focused - you have to focus on your job. As soon as you take your eye off that, you will slip up, so you have got to have everything 100 per cent on what is in front of you.
Emotions are charismatic. Focused emotions are very charismatic. To lead people with charisma, you need to take charge of and focus your emotions.
The world is waiting for you to wake up to the person you are called to be. Stop listening to the negative inner conversation that's causing you to play small. Focus your mind on positive thoughts, possibilities and solutions that can move you forward. Tap into your creativity and determination and stay busy. Stay focused.
[Y]ou never come right out and admit you have stretched the rules for your own benefit. You do it and shut up about it, and hope you don't get caught, because if you are caught no one or no one who has any sense will come forward and say he has done the same thing himself.
Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.
A lot of girls get caught up looking at what other people are doing. You've just got to stay in your lane. You've just got to go forward and know that whatever is meant for you is going to come your way.
Never give up your dreams and stay focused on your passions.
As long as you get your education and you stay focused, you can do anything.
