Reuniting with my brothers musically has been really incredible.

You know, just being recognized for anything musically for me has been, like incredible because this is all I do, this is all I got. Because of Billy Joel, I've been playing piano since I was knee high. The house was always full of music, so of course he's influenced me, but I think I've also developed my own sound. He's also been really good about giving me advice, which I think has helped me really stay true to what I want to do musically.
I've always had gender confusion. I had two older brothers, and I've been predominantly male influenced. I really always looked up to my dad, really always looked up to my brothers... I had a lot of male friends growing up. It didn't help that in my town, where I lived, there were no female musicians.
I've gone down to the Jersey Shore every summer since I was born. It's like a second home, and Asbury Park is like the capital - it's the center of all of it. Musically, it's incredible.
