A Quote by Joey Chestnut

It's more of a mental sport because I know I can push harder than someone who doesn't know what his body can do. — © Joey Chestnut

For sure, with golf it's not a physically demanding sport like tennis. That's what makes tennis great - you combine both things. It's a very mental sport and at the same time can be dramatically physical. But I do admire the mentality of sport more than the physicality because physical performance is much easier to practice than mental performance.
To be able to know that I can push myself a little further than you think you can was so important. And that it's a mental barrier more than anything. You can break through it.
I'm a bigger fan of my directing than in acting. Acting is just harder. You know, not harder, per se, because directing is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. But it's harder to enjoy my work as an actor, you know.
Here's a strange fact: murder a man, and you feel responsible for his life - ''possessive'', even. You know more about him than his father and mother; they knew his fetus, but you know his corpse. Only you can complete the story of his life, only you know why his body has to be pushed into the fire before its time, and why his toes curl up and fight for another hour on earth.
I don't know that person anymore, that guy in '86, '87. I don't know that guy no more. I don't have no affinity for that guy no more. I have no affinity for the guy who said, 'I am the greatest fighter God produced.' I have no affinity for the guy who said he would try to push his [opponent's] nose bone up into his brain. I just don't know that guy. I don't know who he is. I don't know where he came from. I don't have no kind of connection with him no more.
The contemporary programs in London are harder and much more damaging for the body. With classical ballet you are relaxed mentally because it's what you learnt, but I want to push myself.
I think its naive to think you can push yourself as hard as someone else can push you, but I work really hard on my own. I know my body.
Nothing is more embarrassing than calling someone the wrong name, but nothing is harder than trying to pretend you know someone's name when you don't.
This thing with everyone knowing you it’s weird, because people have this one-sided relationship where they look at your picture and feel they know you more than someone they actually know. I don’t really know myself that well.

What really motivates me to climb harder and harder is not necessarily that I want to push my limits or show who's best, but climbing harder and harder routes makes it more fun.
I want people to know that LeCrae the person is a Christian. Just because you put a tag on me or my music that doesn't make me or the music more or less of a Christian. I'd hope the legacy that I'd leave that people say... No, he's not a Christian because he said he was or because his stuff was labeled that. He's a Christian because he lived it! And when you know him and you know his life this is someone whose life is marked by Jesus.
It was too hard to understand marrying someone I didn't know. When you don't like someone, if he touches you, it's harder than anything.
Someone said, 'The dead writers are remote from us because we know so much more than they did.' Precisely, and they are that which we know.
There's nobody who knows the left better than I know 'em. I know the left like I know every square inch of my gloriously naked body, not just the back of my hand. I know them. I know them better than they know themselves because they refuse to be honest about who they are really are and what they really believe, but I am.
You can go to the Internet and know more than your mom in two seconds. It's crazy how fast teenagers have knowledge and information these days. So, I think it's harder to say, 'Your father and I know more than you.
