Unreached peoples are unreached for a reason. They're hard, difficult, and dangerous to reach. All the easy ones are taken
There can be no burden for distant unreached peoples without a burden for unreached neighbors.
May even the concept of unreached peoples be totally intolerable to us.
There is one thing that motivates me. It is the global glory of God. I am first and foremost a missionary. I am an evangelist and a missionary.
Do we claim to believe in God? He's a missionary God. You tell me you're committed to Christ. He's a missionary Christ. Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? He's a missionary Spirit. Do you belong to the church? It's a missionary society. And do you hope to go to heaven when you die? It's a heaven into which the fruits of world mission have been and will be gathered.
Not everything that counts can be counted. You can count sales. You can count fans and followers. You can count pins and tweets. But you can't count passion. You can't count commitment. You can't count engagement. You can't count relationships.
I am a missionary, heart and soul. God had an only Son, and He was a missionary and a physician. I am a poor, poor imitation of Him, or wish to be. In this service I hope to live; in it I wish to die!
Christianity is a missionary religion, converting, advancing, aggressive, encompassing the world; a non-missionary church is in the bands of death.
The missionary question is not, 'Where are there unbelievers?' and then send a missionary there. There are unbelievers everywhere! The missionary question is, 'Where are there people's who don't have any Christians in them or don't have a church strong enough to do the neighbor evangelism that we can do if we just want to do it?' That's the missionary question.
The Revival of 1859 helped to lay the foundations of the modern international and interdenominational missionary structureEvery revival of religion in the homelands is felt within a decade in the foreign mission-fields, and the records of missionary enterprises and the pages of missionary biography following I860 are full of clearest evidence of the stimulating effect of the Revival throughout the world.
The peoples are not awake...[There are dangers] which will render a world organization impossible.
I foresee the renewal of...the secret bargaining behind closed doors. Peoples will be as before,
the sheep sent to the slaughterhouses or to the meadows as it pleases the shepherds.
International institutions ought to be, as the national ones in democratic countries,
established by the peoples and for the peoples.
Although I am almost illiterate mathematically, I grasped very early in life that any one who can count to ten can count upward indefinitely if he is fool enough to do so.
I wanted to leave a mark on the world. Doesnt matter how big. I just wanted to make a mark in peoples lives.
Count your blessings. Every time I am doing bad I count my blessings. And I always lose count. Try that sometime.
I wanted to be a missionary and work abroad, but girls started to become a bigger part of my life around the time I lost interest in the priesthood.
I just wanted to do something that would get peoples' attention. And not only that, but get my foot in the door and be creative. I wanted to do something that was empowering to women, as well as get peoples' attention.
