Drastic medicine, indeed, that only a human ego, run wild, could possibly imagine.
Anyone and anything can be a vehicle for the expression of God - but never contain the fullness of God. Therefore, the church recognizes that God will simultaneously employ and shatter. .. all doctrines, all ideologies. .. even within the church itself.
If a god showed up every time you put a quarter in the prayer slot it wouldn't be God, it would be a puppet that you could control by doing that...that would make the deity subservient to you. So it wouldn't be a deity would it?
