The GOP needs to figure out a way to become more appealing to new constituencies.
Blacks as a group have voted Democratic since the 1930s. The GOP has not courted them in any real way since the 1960s, focusing instead on attracting white constituencies hostile to civil rights and African-Americans in general.
When I moved to New York, I feel like a lot of things widened within my perspective and as I spend some time here - as everyone does when they're that age or a young person - [you] figure out your own ideals or figure out the way you fit into society a little bit more than you did before.

The more you understand what somebody wants, needs, and fears, the more you can figure out how to add value.
Maybe tweeting is a more appealing method of getting your thoughts out to the masses a little bit more often. That's the only way I consider it. Otherwise, I do it for the fans' purposes; it's definitely not to try to empty my brain out to anybody else.
When this election is over, you're done, you're finished. There is no more GOP. Don't care what you GOP leaders are thinking, you're not welcome. We don't want you in our club, and you're not gonna get in.
But I love the idea - whether it's in my work or where I live - exploring new frontier, and I like putting myself in strange places and trying to survive and figure things out and gather up an infrastructure. I like knowing that I could figure out a way to live anywhere.
The United States needs to be made more appealing to legal immigrants.
Coming-of-age stories are always appealing, especially as a young man who's still trying to figure out this complicated world.
