I could sit down and give USADA my opinions on it, but I want to say they've done a great job. Guys like me are shining because of USADA.
I want to give big kudos to USADA. Can it be better? Yeah.
USADA tested me, and I came back positive for hard work and beast-like characteristics.
USADA is wonderful, I think they're doing a remarkable job, and they do a remarkable job all around the world.
I think it's great to have USADA come in and clean up the sport, because what I don't want to do is train my butt off for 10 weeks to prepare for a fight for a limited amount of money to feed my family, then get out there with a guy that maybe put in 3 weeks training and cheated.
I love the USADA.
Let me make this clear: I think USADA has moved my sport forward in certain ways that I couldn't have imagined.
The concept of USADA is not bad.
In my mind, a good leader would say, 'OK, I need to sit down and talk to the guys who oppose me. Let me let them voice their opinions; let me get their thought process.'
The things that I rely on, USADA doesn't have a problem with them. I'm gonna continue to be the same athlete that I've always been.
What I treasure the most is people coming up to me in the elevator and saying, 'You really did a great job': neighbours who congratulate for a job well done or little fans who hug me and say they want to be like me.
I bobbed and weaved through my career. And in hindsight, though I'd like to say it was a plan - it was not - the bobbing and the weaving gave me a broad base from which to become an executive who could say, 'OK, I've done this, and I've done this, and I've done this.' And nobody could BS me, because I'd done most of it.
I had to turn down films and plays because I had a job, and I could not take up better job offers that required me to relocate, because I did not want to lose the link with theatre. It was a huge decision for me to quit my job.
I understand what's going on, and when I see the fervor, when I see 25,000 people that have seats and not one person during an hour speech will sit down, I say sit down everybody, sit down, and they don't sit down, I mean, that's a great compliment but I do understand the power of the message. There's no question about that.
In track and field, a lot of people don't make a lot of money, so if you're a lower name you might just get run over by USADA because they're just looking to get people out of the sport.
I would like to sit down with Oprah, just because I'd like to talk to her. I want to sit down and, like, converse. Like, 'Honey, let's chat!'
The thing with USADA's technology is that it's so good that it can allow them to trace things to years and years back, things you consumed unknowingly.
