At 17... I went to the second division in Spain, played a lot of minutes, and we actually won that league.
It's very difficult to pick a 17-year-old who's had 10 minutes of first-team football. You're talking about replacing senior players with some 17-year-olds who haven't played Premier League football.
In Spain, we have a pretty good league - for me, I think it's the second-best league in the world. They play tough there, they play aggressive. The big difference is that we play only one game a week in Spain, maybe two.
I don't know if my perspective is different because my dad played but I've always admired footballers: second division players, second division B players.
I must say, the standard of football we play in League Two is better than I thought. I think, if you compared it with the fourth division in other countries, such as Italy, Germany and Spain, League Two is much, much better - and that's very positive. The intensity and the tempo is as high as the Premier League.
I shared guitars before I actually got one of my own and played a guy's Silver tone and played another guys Danelectro 12 string and it was at about age 17 that I actually started playing.
I've played in nearly every league and country on these islands, apart from League One. I've played in Scotland, I've played in Wales, in the Premier League and in the Championship. I've been lucky to get a broad footballing education.
I arrived in Spain at three years old when my dad played in Valencia. Then we spent a lot of time in Vigo in the northwest part of Spain.
Pau Gasol is extremely popular in Spain. I don't know how much he sells, but I get nothing in Spain. The money goes to the league, and they use it for whatever they choose to use it for to run the league.
MLS is a league that is growing. What can I say? The league is more physical: the players here can play 90 minutes or more. There is a little bit more quality in Spain, because it's more technical, but it's difficult to say.
I played a lot at Bayer Leverkusen. I played in the Champions League and in the Bundesliga. I have played a lot of games, and it was a very good decision to go to Leverkusen.
Man City are a top team, but there are a lot of top teams in this division because the Premier League is the best league in Europe.
There were two second division matches last night, both in the second division.
I started playing pro in Argentina. Then I went to second division in Italy. Then after a lot of work, I made it to first division. And at 25, I got here in the NBA.
I knew I could always work harder and be better and show I'm more prepared. I had a whole science to, like, how you have to arrive 17 minutes early to something. If you're 20 minutes early, that means you're too eager, but 17 minutes gives you time to, like, settle, sign in, use the ladies' room, have some water, and get comfortable.
I started in League One and went up into the Championship and then into the Premier League, so I've played a lot of games from quite a young age.
Some of the games in Spain... we played at the Wanda, which was amazing, but then the next week, they're creating a penalty spot 10 minutes before the game starts.
