I never coast through a workout. This is been great for me physically, but it's also become a problem in two ways. One is that no matter how I'm feeling on a given day, I will absolutely kill myself in the gym, and it takes a huge amount of energy do that. I commit 110 percent. The other problem is that finding a workout partner is impossible.
A lot of it comes from tiny things, like not eating barbecue sauce with my pizza at two in the morning. I think it's all a manifestation of being happy and wanting to treat myself well. In the House gym - I go every day, in fact; I'm part of a bipartisan workout group. There's one that does this P90X that's kind of like dancing around and whatnot. And then there's one that does CrossFit. And I'll just say Paul Ryan and I are not in the same workout group.
