People are very confused and wrong because there is no comparison between me and Canelo.
Canelo's a different breed. A lot of people think because of the way I made Canelo look, they're going to be able to do the same thing, but that's not true. He's a strong fighter.
[When criticized for appearing bare-shouldered Madonna-like at a banquet:] A comparison between Madonna and me is a comparison between a strapless evening gown and a gownless evening strap.
When people start comparing him with (Michael) Jordan then that's not a fair comparison. Jordan was a far more superior player in a very tough league, he was very creative. That's not taking away anything from LeBron because he is a great player, but it is not a fair comparison because Jordan is a far superior player.
If there's any comparison between the compassion and decency of the American people and the terrorist tactics of extremists, it's flawed logic. It's just I simply can't accept that. It's unacceptable to think that there's any kind of comparison between the behavior of the United States of America and the action of Islamic extremists who kill innocent women and children to achieve an objective.
I don't need any more motivation. I'm fighting Canelo Alvarez. If that can't get me motivated, then I'm in the wrong sport.
I like very confused people. The more confused, the more fun for me.
If I were related to Monet, I don't know if I would be comfortable becoming an artist because it's too much, the comparison. If I wrote a book and put it out, the comparison to my great-grandfather, the comparison would be hilarious. Every critic, it would be their dream, they'd tear me apart.
Canelo, let's get it on. I've been beating these guys. Where's Canelo? Where's Triple G?
At the end of the day, there's a line full of people that want to fight Canelo and there's champions that maybe fought better opposition than me, but the reason why is because these people didn't want to fight me.
Canelo wants to test himself and see if he is among the elite fighters. This is a golden opportunity for me, so I'm very, very happy.
For Canelo to call me boring, I mean, is he serious with that? I mean, I'm boring but Rocky Fielding is really exciting. Yeah, sure Canelo. Liam Smith was so exciting. Everybody couldn't wait for that.
Masochists are people that have pleasure confused with pain. In a world that has television confused with entertainment, doritoes confused with food, and Dan Quayle confused with a national political leader, masochists are clearly less mixed-up than the rest of us.
So much has been written about me, and people don't know what's right and what's wrong. I'd rather let them stay confused.
Right is right, and wrong is wrong, and when people start getting it confused, that means they need to sit down with some real people.
Canelo has done a great job of being a champion so I have to take my hat off to Canelo. GGG has done so, as well.
Canelo's a very disciplined guy, but he's very relaxed in the ring. He taught me that there are ways to relax so you won't get hit with certain punches. He showed me that the more relaxed you are, the easier it is to fight your fight by staying put.
