Meryl Streep is my favorite actor of all time, period. That would be a dream to be in something with her. I just think there's so much I can learn from her.
You know, you kinda think you're gonna have to work for twenty years before you get to work with Meryl Streep. So getting to work with her... I almost feel like I didn't pay enough dues, it was pretty incredible. I always thought I'd work with her, I just didn't think it would happen at this point in my career.
The one person whom I would like to be is Meryl Streep. Even at her age, she sits alongside the younger heroines at the Oscars with her name in the nominee list, and others around her wonder whether they still stand a chance.
I had to learn all the pieces backward and forward [to play it in "Florence Foster Jenkins"]. We practiced on weekends. It was very much like being in school, except it was with Meryl Streep. Like, I would go to her apartment and we would practice Mozart's "Queen of the Night."
My all-time favourite actor is Meryl Streep. She can do anything and everything. She's so good in 'Sophie's Choice.' She changes her accent so well, which is something actors in India don't do although we should, so that we can be more authentic to our craft.
Once I'm obsessed with somebody, I'm terrified of them instantly. I'm not scared of them - I'm scared of me and how I will react. Like, for instance, one time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher's face and said, "Not now, Bill!", and I just stared at Meryl Streep... I just creepily stared at her.
I'm not Meryl Streep. My God - she's the greatest actor that ever lived. It's sad that ordinary actors like me are compared to her.
I would always cast Meryl Streep for everything. I would do with something inspired by the work of Guy Bourdin, my favorite photographer.
Meryl Streep is exactly as awesome as you would imagine Meryl Streep to be.
Meryl Streep does things I would never have thought possible... Her presence on screen is outstanding.
I was in a movie called 'Before & After' with Meryl Streep. I was edited out of the movie, but no one told me. I think I was 18 or 19 years old. I sat across from her and asked her every question about acting. I completely embarrassed myself.
I think that's why Meryl Streep is working so much, because she looks like a woman we can all relate to. I look at her and I think, 'I'm chasing my kids, I've moved my parents in with me, I'm coping with food spills - that looks like me in real life'. Meryl looks like an unmade bed, and that's what I look like. To me, that looks true.
I would be surprised if they gave Meryl Streep her third Oscar for a film as light as 'Julie and Julia,' although, of course, Katharine Hepburn's third Oscar came with a very light performance from her in 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.'
It is so inspiring when you come across a woman who is very strong and dedicated and is amazing at what they do. That's how I feel about Meryl Streep. You watch her, and you can't help but notice all of that about her. She's so influential.
I wanna meet Meryl Streep, so she can be my mama. I want Meryl Streep to be my mom in a movie.
As for people I would love to work with, Meryl Streep, of course! She's my favorite.
I would love to have the honor to get to work with Meryl Streep. I love her and I love her work.
