Out of Frederic Remington's Sundown Leflare graved on the mantel. Sundown and another mountain man cooked and ate their supper. "Then," says Remington, "they sat down with the greatest philosopher on earth - the fire."
It was really an experience, being my first time directing a movie. The scenes that I was in, Brooke really directed me all the time. And the scenes that both of us were in, Brooke directed those. Come to think of it, Brooke directed most of the scenes.
I always see myself as a character actor, but Remington Steele was me. I gave up on trying to be any character. I just put myself as me in this world of Remington Steele and the grand pretender.
I think 'The Musketeers' is probably the Dumas novel people are most familiar with, or if not that, it's 'The Count Of Monte Cristo'. Two of my favorite things are my steering wheel and my Remington rifle.
I grew up hunting with Remington 7400s, which are semiautomatic rifles.
Maybe now that we have the same sponsor in Remington we can spend some time together outdoors.
You can't, Brooke, you can't leave. You're mine
The Dumas memoirs - which I also discovered when I was a kid - had a big impact on me.
And Brooke Elliott is a great actress.
Whenever anyone asks me what I did in the service, I just tell him I was a member of the famed 'Remington Raiders.'
I'll never recover if he breaks my heart. ~Brooke
