I don't need Mayweather, but it is an entertaining fight for the American public.
Any fight that Floyd Mayweather is in is going to be entertaining, regardless. People come to see an icon, a living legend, a superstar.
Mayweather likes to say he is better than Sugar Ray Robinson, but I think it is more important for him to keep the zero on his record than it is to fight Manny. We hope the opportunity comes for a fight with Mayweather, but Manny is going to continue to fight, even if it means moving up in weight to go after nine titles.
I can't watch a [Floyd] Mayweather fight. I don't find it exciting. I used to watch boxing in the [Michael] Tyson era when it was exciting. Now it's all bob and weave, a punch here and there. It is not entertaining.
Everyone still wants to see [Floyd] Mayweather and [Manny] Pacquaio fight. When the talks start though, it always seem like it is all about Mayweather, and I think the people hate that.
Every fight brings out something different in me, and it will be no different in this one. I have learned and gained from all of those experiences. And as I've often said, the public hasn't seen the best of me yet. I need someone like Mayweather to bring that out of me.
Does Tiger Woods tee off at 8 A.M. when he's going to win a Masters? Does Floyd Mayweather fight the first fight of the night? No, he's the main event, right? So the 'Stros need to be playing on prime-time television.
If I am traitor, who did I betray? I gave all my information to the American public, to American journalists who are reporting on American issues. If they see that as treason, I think people really need to consider who they think they're working for. The public is supposed to be their boss, not their enemy.
I thought after that fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, if this was supposed to be fight of the decade, then people must be missing me a lot more.
The American Public is who I'm interested in. Ultimately, if they think I'm good and they think I'm entertaining that's all that matters.
Floyd Mayweather is bigger than the sport. That's the thing. Because you can go to somebody who don't even know what boxing is and say, "Floyd Mayweather." They'll go, "Oh, I know Floyd Mayweather. I've heard that name."
As public as I seem with all my charity parties and entertaining, I actually spend a lot time in solitude and need it!
American soldiers in battle don't fight for what some president says on T.V., they don't fight for mom, apple pie, the American flag...they fight for one another.
I can't watch a Mayweather fight. I don't find it exciting.
Mayweather is Mayweather. He's always good. He stays in shape, takes care of himself.
Mayweather Promotions - we are the past, the present, and the future of sports and entertainment, and everybody knows Mayweather's pay is better.
I think it's a myth that American public or any other public is so stupid that they need to be constantly pricked.
