The movie I've seen the most is 'Ghostbusters' or 'Ghostbusters II.' I used to watch those movies nonstop.
We all grew up with loving 'Ghostbusters.' So of course our kids love 'Ghostbusters.'
I hate that we're always called "the all-female Ghostbusters," because you wouldn't refer to the original as "the all-male Ghostbusters."
I auditioned for 'Mad Men.' I auditioned for 'Top of the Lake.' I obviously auditioned for 'West Wing,' so I still get excited when I get offered stuff. Like, a part of me thinks, 'They think I can do it! That's awesome!' And that's a part of me I have to squash; otherwise, I would do everything just because people gave it to me.
There was a moment when we were casting 'Groundhog Day' when Bill Murray was not at the top of my list. He'd been getting crankier and crankier. By the end of 'Ghostbusters II', he was pretty cranky. I thought, 'Do I want to put up with this for twelve weeks?'
I don't think there will be another Ghostbusters. I think we're all too old to do it. I think we've done it a couple times and there is not that much to get out of it, to do that would be fresh in it.
I've been fortunate that the roles I've auditioned for, I auditioned because I felt I was the right actor to play that part.
I auditioned for 'Spider-Man.' I auditioned for 'Han Solo,' all those big movies. I would love to do something like that.
I needed to start pulling at this other sort of funnier, lighter side. So I auditioned for everything. I auditioned for 'Friends,' even.
I auditioned 5-6 times for 'Dangal.' I was just waiting for the final call, as there were about 15-16 girls who auditioned for the role.
I, like almost every actor in the world, auditioned for 'Friends.' I wish I had gotten that one. I actually auditioned for Rachel and didn't go very far.
I think Junior is certainly a science fiction premise as is Twins, as is Dave, beyond Ghostbusters.
'Baywatch' was one of those shows that you auditioned for all the time as a young girl. I auditioned once to play a blind girl and didn't get it. I was constantly auditioning for it.
I auditioned for 'The Lord of the Rings,' I auditioned for the part of Sam, and I didn't get very far... they wanted people that were taller and alter them in Computer Generated Images, so I never got a call back.
I auditioned for 'The Rainmaker.' Nothing. I auditioned for 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.' Nothing. 'Antigone' was my big break. I got a part as a Roman guard. I carried a spear.
I auditioned for the role of an angel in the Nativity play at school. I didn't get it. I auditioned for Mary; didn't get it. So I made up the character of the sheep who sat next to Baby Jesus.
