NXT really built some momentum and became something pretty special.
When New Kids became really successful, I got a lot of offers to do parts in movies and TV shows, but I was really busy, so I pretty much turned everything down. But I always knew it was something that I would eventually put some energy into.
Baseball is not like football, basketball where a momentum is something made. You don't really have that kind of momentum in baseball.
I think in order to really create something special, it has to be built on some foundation. And I think friendship is a good foundation you could always tap back on if you don't agree. So for me, it's not dating, it's more so friendship.
Emma gave me some of my favorite matches - the NXT Women's Tournament and then NXT ArRIVAL.
I went and looked at one of these great cathedrals one day, and I was blown away by it. From there I became interested in how cathedrals were built, and from there I became interested in the society that built the medieval cathedral. It occurred to me at some point that the story of the building of a cathedral could be a great popular novel.
The atmosphere we get with NXT and NXT fans, they're a die-hard group. They care deeply about NXT.
The momentum that I had before winning the NXT Women's Championship was incredible. I was doing absolutely everything and anything.
I think I will always feel a special relationship with The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, because for me it was something very, very special. It was a modern opera, and to play the heroine in a film that became such a success at a young age, and learning from him when I was so young and impressionable - really it was one of my most important experiences.
I'd have to say I'm pretty adventurous. I just went to Shanghai for the Special Olympics and I tried dim sum. I'd never really had it before and some of it looked pretty scary, but I tried it anyway. My philosophy is, you're not going to know if you like it until you try it.
Otis and I go way back to NXT and we've been friends since NXT, so it's very nice to know the person pretty well. You feel comfortable and I think it comes off more natural on TV as well, which is cool. He's obviously just so funny.
The best scripts I read are usually pretty - they move really quickly, there's not a lot of exposition in between all of what's happening, so you can really just flow with the lines, and you're reading and it has a momentum and you understand it emotionally.
NXT in my head is something I'm trying to help build, get it to its peak. I will do whatever I have to: I will strap NXT to my back and carry it up a cliff if I have to.
I want to do something that has never been done, and that's become the first two-time NXT Champion. In a sense, that's a strange distinction to want, but that has to be my goal while I'm in NXT.
Momentum is a whole lot in the game of basketball. People dwell on momentum, but that really does matter.
When you're that successful, things have a momentum, and at a certain point you can't really tell whether you have created the momentum or it's creating you.
That 'Zombieland' thing was pretty great. I think I didn't realize just how lucky I was after that first movie, to have something so special and to have a cast that's so special.
