I really believe it's the old cliché, the more you give the more you receive. I'm living proof of that.
What great profit you gain from God when you are generous! You give a coin and receive a kingdom; you give bread from wheat and receive the Bread of Life; you give a transitory good and receive an everlasting one. You will receive it back, a hundred times more than you offered.
The more you give, the more you get - it’s a cliché, but it’s really true.
The more you give, the more you get - it's a cliche, but it's really true.
With my charity Big Dreams For Kids, I believe the more you give, the more you receive.
Act on your inner guidance, and give up your need for 'proof' that your inner guidance is authentic. The more you ask for proof, the less likely you are to receive any.
Avarice, greed, concupiscence and so forth are all based on the mathematical truism that the more you get, the more you have. The remark of that it is more blessed to give than to receive is based on the human truth that the more you give away in love, the more you are. It is not just for the sake of other people that tells us to give rather than get, but for our own sakes too.
I strongly believe that nothing is more spiritual than living at our highest potential while serving others. I believe that the more closely aligned we are to "spirit" the more fully we will give ourselves in service to the world. As such, my "spiritual path" is the path that leads me to a more complete manifestation of my unique Bodhisattvic duties.
I've always believed that - it's stupid, but I always use this - the pressure makes the diamonds. I really do believe that. The more pressure I'm put under, the more, it seems, I thrive. The more you give me to do and the more you give me to accomplish, the more I can get done for you.
I believe the only way to break the power of materialism is first, to see ourselves as stewards that God has entrusted these money and possessions to, and second, to give. Jesus says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive". As long as I still have something, I believe I own it. But when I give it away, I relinquish the control, power, and prestige that come with wealth.
It is an irony that the more possessive you are, the more love you demand, the less you receive, while the more freedom you give, the less you demand, the more love you will receive.
The more we give, the more we receive. It's important to give back, because the seeds you plant today, you will harvest tomorrow.
If you believe in something and have the strength not to give up, it can happen. I am the living proof it can be done.
Be generous! Give to those you love; give to those who love you; give to the fortunate; give to the unfortunate - yes, give especially to those to whom you don't want to give. You will receive abundance for your giving. The more you give, the more you will have!
As it is more blessed to receive, so it must be more blessed to receive than to give back.
If you love it, and work really hard at it, it will really happen, I believe. I'm living proof.
Most of the problem I see amongst friends and I've experienced amongst myself is when people haven't accommodated the inequality that they want, they haven't understood that their partner wants to give more love and receive less or they haven't understood that their partner wants to receive more, but sort of give less.
