A Quote by Kirk McLean

It is pretty tough for a goalie when you look at it. You're always the last line of defense. If you let a goal in, you can't go to the bench and hide between the guys or anything
It's tough to look great as a goalie. Most of the time, you're the one either letting in a goal or losing the game, so no one wants to say anything or upset you, but at the end of the day you might need some talking to.
I started playing soccer at age 6 and played both outfield and goalie. Back then, no one wanted to go on goalie - coaches would make deals with me so I'd do it. It's a tough position as a kid.
Most guys, tough or not, hide emotions. I know a lot of tough guys; they're just as weak as the next man, but they don't show it.
There are guys on different teams across the league who are bench guys, and guys who that - that's their role, to be on the bench encouraging guys to play hard and get good minutes.
I mean, defending isolations is easy, but it's hard at the same time. I think I'm a pretty good defender, but when you go against guys that can make tough shots, it makes you feel so bad, like, 'Oh, man, these guys just made a tough shot on me.'
Defense all starts with the ball and the rim-protector is the last resort, the last line of defense. I take pride in that.
The establishment thinks we're the bad guys, and we're the radicals, but what they don't realize is we're actually the last line of defense. After us, it's the pitchforks.
But if you look at a fight, it is anything but comfortable. So when you're fighting tough guys and you're not willing to go out of your comfort zone, you lose.
Girls shouldn't be afraid to look messy. They shouldn't have to always fit in with the pretty girls. Our goal as women is not to impress guys.
In my experience, growing up in Brooklyn and all that, the real tough guys didn't act tough. They didn't talk tough. They were tough, you know? I think about these politicians who try to pose as tough guys - it makes me laugh.
We can't defend the country by looking at the borderline as the first line of defense rather than as the last line of defense. We have to secure the flow of goods and people by engaging with foreign entities. We assure our security by securing the flows as early as we can before they arrive and as far away from our borders as we can.
I don't know if you guys have ever kissed anybody in real life, but it doesn't always go as planned. It's not always pretty. It doesn't always look like a movie. It usually looks more like 'American Pie.'
When I played in Holland, I always tried to lob the goalkeeper. People used to say, 'Oh, you're always only trying to make a nice goal'. But I said, 'Listen, if the goalie is a little bit off his line, how much space do you have on his left or right?' It's not a lot. 'And how much space do you have above him?'

I'm not pretty. The truth is I didn't think I could be a model at all. I was looking at some of the guys on the walls at Irene Marie and I thought to myself 'Jesus Christ. I can't do this. I don't look anything like these guys'.
I like pretty conservative guys, good guys. I always look for the qualities I find in my father.
