I started singing about three years ago, I entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol. The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. Many times, people would react to the fact that I looked different, and I would think that there was something wrong with me - that maybe one of my shirt buttons was undone or something. It took 20 or 30 years to get used to it.
