A Quote by LaMarcus Aldridge

As I get slower and older, I'm going to shoot more threes. — © LaMarcus Aldridge
As I get slower and older, I'm going to shoot more threes.
Increasingly as I've gotten older, I'm much more interested in what the reality of the shoot is going to be versus what the result of the shoot might be. I'm so bad at guessing what's going to be good and what's going to be bad - there doesn't seem to be any correlation between things that are within your control.
I didn't get a chance to shoot any threes at all in the offense we ran at Wake.
Just because I shoot a lot of threes doesn't mean I can't still get up.
I have good mid-range shot and I can shoot threes, but in Europe coaches didn't want me to shoot outside because I was tall and big.
I can run up and down, shoot threes, or go inside. I can also get involved by setting screens and rebounding.
At the end of the day I'm a basketball player. I'm going to try and shoot more threes than mid-range or long twos or whatever. But if someone gives you a shot, you're a basketball player, you got to make reads and play.
If your self-esteem really does depend on how you look you're always going to be insecure. There's no way you can get around it because you are going to age. Even if you get that perfect body you're going to get older and older and older. You can't avid it. So you have to somehow, at some point, take control and sift the focus and decide who you are, what you can contribute to the world, what you do and say, is so much more important than how you look.
I think we'll get to the point where every 5 can shoot threes. I think we'll get to the point where a lot of people can handle the ball and fastbreak and bring it up.
If you're winning bike races ahead of guys who're older than you then they're going to get upset. When some young guy appears from nowhere, some people who are slower assume they ride dangerously.
I like languages. I like working on different accents. I speak English, French and Spanish. I'd love to learn more but I think, as you get older, your brain is a bit slower.
The simplest consequence of walking on crutches is that you walk slower. Every step must be a necessary one. When you hurry, you get where you're going, but you get there alone. When you go slow, you get where you're going, but you get there with a community you've built along the way.
Nostalgia is partly illusion in that we remember things differently as we get older, etc. But that doesn't mean, when historians look back on the 1950s, say, from the year 2090, it won't be judged as a saner, slower, less narcissistic, more family-focused, and economically secure time.
I just think that things get easier as you get older and wiser and more experienced. You get more confident about who you are as you get older. I find that really comforting.
When every guy on the team and the coaching staff is telling you, 'shoot it, shoot it,' obviously I've always known I could shoot it, but it was more of a trying to get the guys involved and being that middle man.
I'm very comfortable in my own skin now. I started just being myself more and more. For women, this happens as you get older. I loved my 40s - I thought they were fantastic. And I'm loving my 50s. I'm going to love everything because you're either older or dead!
People are going to get older and young guys are going to come in and race and get more competitive.
