A Quote by Lana

I think 'Total Divas' has brought the women more mainstream and so many opportunities. However, I've always thought, if I'm supposed to be on the show, I'll be on the show. It's all about timing.
I think that the potential of Total Divas and female athletes is that the sky is the limit. People want to know about these women, and in the WWE, we call it the Divas Revolution - it's a movement for women's empowerment.
I would love to see 'Total Divas' grow more. The show is doing awesome.
I think the success of 'Total Divas' has opened people's eyes to women in wrestling and to WWE divas.
Being on 'Total Divas' definitely prepared me. Because when you're on a reality show, you're used to cameras following you. However, the big difference with 'Big Brother' is they do not turn off.
It's such a more mainstream demographic that watches 'Total Divas.'
I think because of 'Total Divas,' people have gotten to know who we are and kind of see more of the personality of the divas.
When they told all of us about the idea of NXT, for the Divas that was our first question - will there be women on the show?
I'm honored to be a part of 'Total Divas' and show the world who Carmella is, not only on 'SmackDown Live' but in real life.
I think the one thing about 'Total Divas' is that we all had to open up our lives. We all had to open up that book and show you every chapter we've been through. Then when you start comparing, you see we all have something in common. That's what made us all close.
I got involved through the director of the show [Top Chef], he's a director of films in Mexico; I worked with him before. I watched the show in English -many times for many years - and I always loved it. As soon as I heard about having an opportunity to showcase Mexico in a different way, to show a different side of Mexico, that is not violent, that has beautiful colors and delicious food... I didn't think about it twice.
I've thought my show would be a sitcom or a talk show. Never in a million years would I have thought my show would be docu-series/reality because you always think reality is something crazy.
I have actual strong ideas. You just have to wait for the right timing. Timing is pretty crucial here. I can't dedicate a lot of energy and efforts trying to, say, create a show that I want to produce while I'm currently on another show.
On Girls I like being a mouthpiece for the issues I think young females face today. It’s always shocking when people question whether it’s a feminist show. How could a show about women exploring women not be? Feminism isn’t a dirty word. It’s not like we’re a deranged group who think women should take over the planet, raise our young on our own and eliminate men from the picture. Feminism is about women having all the rights that men have.
I think so many people give us ideas of what we are. I think as women especially, because we're sensitive by nature, we're more vulnerable, we absorb other people's ideas about what we're supposed to think or who we're supposed to be and how we're supposed to act.
We're a great part of the show... we're a novelty on the show. I think having one Divas match a night really makes it special, and I'm proud to be a part of it and hope to take it to the next level.
I can't tell you how proud I am of all the Total Divas and just how excited I am about how well the show is doing.
