The way to fame, is like the way to heaven,--through much tribulation. — © Laurence Sterne
The way to fame, is like the way to heaven,--through much tribulation.
There is no way to work your way to God. There is no way to climb up to heaven. There is only one way, and that is through Christ.
It is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.
The path to heaven lies through heaven, and all the way to heaven is heaven.
Heaven's Way is like stretching a bow. The high is lowered and the low is raised. Excess is reduced and deficiency is replenished. Heaven's Way reduces excess and replenishes deficiency. People's Way is not so. They reduce the deficient and supply the excessive.
The brightest crowns that are worn in heaven have been tried, and smelted, and polished and glorified through the furnaces of tribulation.

In building a path through the self to the far shore of awareness, we have to carefully pick our way through our own wilderness. If we can put our minds into a place of surrender, we will have an easier time feeling the contours of the land.
