A Quote by Laz Alonso

You may have seen me in movies like 'Fast & Furious' and 'Avatar.' But I wouldn't have been able to do any of that without hard work and determination. You can accomplish anything if you just stay out of trouble and do the right things.
Obviously movies like this [Fast and the Furious 7] don't get any love from the Academy. If they do, it may be special effects or sound editing or something like that.
Nobody's seen all my work. No one. No one in the world has seen all my movies. Some things just never came out... some things may still come out.
People look at me like I should have been like Malcolm X or Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks. I should have seen life like that and stay out of trouble, and don't do this and don't do that. But it's hard to live up to some people's expectations.
We may not be able to accomplish everything we can dream, but we will not accomplish anything without our dreams
When I was making the 'Fast and Furious' movies, I wasn't trying to make a 'Fast and Furious' movie.
Work hard. Through determination and self-focus and discipline, you can accomplish anything.
[I just try to stay around the same people] is what kept me out of trouble, because when I got into trouble, it was with people from the outside. The outside always led me to getting into trouble, and really just stayin' in the studio [and] workin' hard, and mainly just keepin' my mind straight.
For me, I just love running in the big moments. That's always been the way. That is what you work so hard for. You don't work hard to run fast in practice or to run fast at small meets.
Having a CORE main focus is the key to being able to stay determined. Most people only set small goals and when they accomplish them... it's hard to stay on track as they are not trying to achieve anything else.
I had identified discipline as a really important part of my life, in maintaining my sanity. It's kind of interesting when people don't know me and then get to know me and see just how workaholic I am and how unhappy I am when I don't have something to work on, or if I am not provided with the tools to be able to accomplish those things, like touring without my looping rig or without a piano, I'm just kind of like, 'Aahhh, what do I do with my day?' To me, that's just a large part of my sanity.
What we're trying to accomplish is the cheapest, fastest, cleanest form of major public transportation. There's economic value in being able to move people and things fast - and without any delays, because the hyperloop is impervious to weather.
People have seen me fighting everything from 'Fast and Furious' to the IRS on Planned Parenthood to a host of things, Benghazi and others.
You know, those kinds of things in your life...movies you try to work out your issues, then you realize those kinds of traumatic issues just stay with you forever and they just keep reoccurring, and no matter how hard I try to get them out of my head, they just sort of stay there.
Other people do better going on to grad school and others yet are naturally inclined and do just fine without any formal training at all. Everyone is different. The only things I think are imperative are focus, determination and hard work.
You can accomplish amazing things with this if you have a passion and you work hard - I just think it’s a cop out to say 'I wasn’t born with this, so it’s OK if I fail'. You can make up the difference with hard work and devotion.
I think I've just been able to stay balanced, and my family has helped me through that. And with that, I just can continue to develop because I work hard every day.
