Safe men are for marrying. Dangerous men are for pleasure. — © Lisa Kleypas
Safe men are for marrying. Dangerous men are for pleasure.
I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties. And quite frankly, I don't see much of a distinction beyond that.
When women hold off from marrying men, we call it independence. When men hold off from marrying women, we call it fear of commitment.
Let me have men about me that are fat, Sleek-headed-men, and such as sleep o'nights; Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look; he thinks too much; such men are dangerous.

Women knew that a land where men were contented, uncontradicted ans safe in possession of unpunctured vanity was likely to be a very pleasant place for women to live. So, from the cradle to the grave, women strove to make men pleased with themselves, and the satisfied men repaid lavishly with gallantry and adoration. In fact, men willingly gave ladies everything in the world except credit for having intelligence.
Patriarchy is not men. Patriarchy is a system in which both women and men participate. Women have got to make the world safe for men since men have made it so darned unsafe for women.
Women have got to make the world safe for men, since men have made it so darned unsafe for women.
