We can change the world one laugh at a time. — © Liza Donnelly
We can change the world one laugh at a time.
I'm honored that other comedians like what I do. That means the world to me. But at the same time when I'm on stage I'm not just trying to make the comedians laugh - I'm also trying to make the audience laugh. I want to make everybody laugh.
Writers and artists build by hand little worlds that they hope might effect change in real minds, in the real world where stories are read. A story can make us cry and laugh, break our hearts, or make us angry enough to change the world.
You're living at a time of extremism, a time of revolution A time where there's got to be a change. People in power have misused it And now there has to be a change and a better world has to be built And the only way is going to be built is with extreme methods And I for one will join with anyone, don't care what color you are As long as you want change this miserable condition that exists on this earth
I laugh at stuff like Snapchat thinking it can change the world.
I can't write about nice, easy topics because that won't change the world. And I do want to change the world - one reader at a time.
Real comedy doesn't just make people laugh and think, but makes them laugh and change.
I just try to get people to laugh - I'm not trying to change the world or anything.
I will laugh at the world! Never will I allow myself to become so important, so wise, so dignified, so powerful, that I forget how to laugh at myself and my world. And so long as I can Laugh never will I be poor
Life is so short. Grudges are a waste of time. Laugh when you can, apologise when you should, and trust God with what you cannot change.
But they always just laugh off everything I say, when really I want absolutely nothing more than to destroy the world they live in and to watch them suffer, alone and miserable, trying to live in my world for a change!
We can change the world one thought at a time, one child at a time, one family at a time, one community at a time, one city, one state and one country at a time.
Alliances, in the great cocktail party of the white man's world, are formed, almost purely, on this basis, for of both of you can laugh, you have a lot to laugh about. On the other hand, if only one of you can laugh, one of you, inevitably, is laughing at the other.
I believe the medium of film is one of the most powerful tools in the modern era to create positive social change. It has the ability to put big, complex, and controversial subjects across in an easy-to-understand and digestible form. It has the power to change someone's perspective on the world in a very short space of time - film has the power to change the world itself.
With someone like Barack Obama, I think the whole America, the whole world will coalesce. Every election is about change, and change takes a long time because there are big issues that can't be changed overnight. But the one thing that will change dramatically is how we're viewed around the world. Once Obama is in there, the world will view Americans in an entirely different light. And that, to me, is a good thing.
Anytime you make someone laugh or satirize something, it's the best way to change someone's opinion because they're defenseless - they laugh, they listen.
It may be remarked in general, that the laugh of men of wit is for the most part but a feint, constrained kind of half-laugh, as such persons are never without some diffidence about them; but that of fools is the most honest, natural, open laugh in the world.
